Peter Sanborn Reading in Reading, MA has done a wonderful job of re-imagining their Resident Services Programs to follow COVID guidelines. Recently they hosted a "Zoom Call-In Crossword Hour". Each resident was provided a 3-pack of crosswords in their Weekly Newsletter and was invited to call in and work on all the puzzles together, have a laugh,and even learn a few fun facts! In addition to the fun crosswords, the residents of Peter Sanborn Reading also enjoyed a new take on their "Annual End of Summer Celebration". Residents were delivered a delicious boxed lunch from Panera Bread in an American Flag tote bag in remembrance of 9/11, and were invited to a Virtual Concert! The Zoom Concert had a great turnout of attendees. Residents enjoyed a delicious meal and sang away the afternoon! Check out these Back To School cuties! Braintree Village in Braintree, MA recently held a "Back To School Backpack Giveaway"! Braintree Village was able to purchase and distribute 72 backpacks to the Braintree Village youth with the remaining funding from the 2020 MassHousing YRAP Grant. Bedford Towers in New Bedford, MA held a BBQ ?To Go!? with prepacked lunches including a cheeseburger, hotdog and BBQ chicken with all the "fixins"! Each resident also received a gift bag that included a mini hand sanitizer and change purse from Senior Whole Health, as well as pre-packed candies and cookies from Comcast.
