The fun walk raised awareness and funds for the fight against HIV/AIDS. Our System Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Riikka Salonen, (who also participated!) said it best when she stated, “participating in the AIDS Walk aligns beautifully with our healing Mission, to advocate for and provide loving care to individuals who are marginalized and vulnerable for discrimination due to a diagnosis of HIV/AIDS."
September 9, 2019 VANCOUVER, Wash. – David Ruiz, MD, medical director of PeaceHealth’s Family Medicine of Southwest Washington clinic, recently earned the prestigious Bravo Award from the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber. The chamber celebrates the contributions of Latinos nationally and locally. This year, Dr. Ruiz is one of five recipients to receive the Bravo Award. He is being recognized for his work to improve the health of the Latino community. Dr. Ruiz received his award at a special Hispanic Heritage Celebration on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019.
