Pella's Go Beyond for the Cause committee hosted a 24-Hours of Giving event this week. We set out to raise $10K in a day for our two nonprofit partners, Facing History and Ourselves and The Manufacturing Institute. Together, we doubled our goal and raised $20,000 in 24 hours! In the past two years, we have donated $140,000 to our Go Beyond for the Cause partners — helping them further their movement for diversity, equity, and inclusion in classrooms, manufacturing businesses, and our communities. #WeArePella

Happy Manufacturing Month – a nationwide celebration that shines a spotlight on manufacturing and the many rewarding career opportunities it provides! We are thrilled to take this occasion to applaud our team members – the people behind our award-winning windows and doors who make Pella Corporation special. Their Pella pride is reflected in the day-to-day interactions with each other, the care we put into building, testing, and delivering our products, and our unwavering commitment to customers. Throughout October and across the nation, we will continue celebrating manufacturing at our plants, recognizing this importance in meaningful ways, pausing to celebrate as a team, hosting students and educators to showcase what manufacturing is about, inspiring the next generation of creators, and providing grants to support STEM programs at area schools – totaling $55,000 across all Pella locations.

Round of applause to the Pella Windows/Accessory/Service Parts team who recently earned honors from the National Safety Council for their outstanding commitment to safety. The Pella Windows/Accessory/Service Parts team achieved the Million Work Hours Award for working TWO million hours (that's right, not one, but two million!) without an occupational injury or illness involving days away from work. "It is amazing to be part of a team that keeps safety in the forefront of their minds every day. This record didn't happen overnight; it was achieved every day for the past three and half years," shared Windows Plant Manager Kayla Stehlik. "It's the little things that make a difference, and I could not be prouder of how the team focuses on these to ensure our plant remains safe – it's a total team effort!" Congratulations to our team for achieving safety results that go beyond every day to ensure Pella is a safe place to work!

In December, our team members from Pella locations all over the country rallied together raising funds and gathering essential supplies, and trucked them to our team members and community affected by the catastrophic tornadoes in Kentucky. Thankfully, all of our Murray team members are safe and accounted for but some suffered a significant-to-total loss. In true Pella fashion, our team members put our caring culture into action and raised over $60,000 for our Murray team, their families, and the community. #PellaPassion
