Last week, across all of our North America Centers of Excellence, the Talent Team hosted a "New Hire Reunion" for all #PowerSchoolers who've recently joined the organization. #PowerSchool HQ hosted a #SuperSmashBros tournament last week, sponsored by Shahzad Amad, Vice President of Cloud Operations, who was also in attendance along with some other engineering VPs. This was an event to promote overall team-building and well being among all #PowerSchoolers. Well being relates to "feeling good" through emotions of happiness, contentment, interest, engagement, and confidence, in addition to, good psychological functioning. Today, the Talent Team helped facilitate the best part of our PowerUp Internship Program. All of our summer interns got to present their final projects. This was an opportunity for them to highlight what they learned in the program, from new skills and professional experiences, and explain how what they did and contributed to truly enabled them to fulfill our company goal of #PoweringBrighterFutures. The #PowerSchool North America based Talent Acquisition Team took a field trip to the LinkedIn San Francisco office for Recruiter training. They also visited Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf, giving the out-of-state #PowerSchoolers a glimpse into #California. They learned to better leverage the technology and a lot about each other. Last week, Folsom HQ celebrated our annual Executive BBQ Cook-Off, camp-out style! Our leadership team was grillin' up favorites like pulled pork, burgers, salmon, and much more, all with a special and tasty twist. PowerSchoolers had the chance to taste and judge all the gourmet grillin' and enjoy other fun things like a DJ, photobooth, free giveaways, and water activities.
