PowerSchool would like to thank everyone who attended our Taco 'bout Fiesta event last week! The #Folsom HQ office hosted a home-made salsa competition and received donations that went to benefit Homeless Student Services, an organization committed to assisting homeless children and their families in the community. In the 12 years of holding this event, this was the highest donation amount to date - and will go towards providing school supplies and hygiene products to families to make school a little easier! All #PowerSchoolers are committed to making an impact on education and helping our local communities whenever possible. Last week, we celebrated Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day! All our #PowerSchool locations across U.S., Canada, and India were ready for this global celebration and special event, where we got to show our children where we work and what we do. This year's 2019 theme was Workforce Development For All. Our goal was to inspire our children to develop workplace skills that effect positive change within their communities, schools, and homes. We also partnered with http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vMvkx where children and parents got to participate in the Hour of Code that offered a one hour introduction to computer science and computer programming. This action packed event also included a tour of the passport office, a book reading, and STEM activity. We are so lucky to be able to share the PowerSchool story with our children and the impact we have on millions of students and teachers.
