QTSers continue to be on the move, supporting local organizations in our communities. This month we hosted events in Suwanee and Duluth, GA to support Toopster, sending care packages to deployed US troops. Employees in Overland Park, KS assembled Happy Kids with games & art supplies for children staying at Children's Mercy Hospital. And team Ashburn, VA, came out in droves to support the Inova Blood Donor Services. Thank you QTSers for giving so generously of your time & energy!!
October 9 marks seven years since QTS’ Initial Public Offering and the ringing of the bell on the New York Stock Exchange! QTSers across our data centers and their remote offices took a trip down memory lane to remember some of our major milestones and progress over the years. Through these times we’ve had successes and setbacks, trying moments and celebrations, and come together stronger as a QTS family. This month also marks three years of our dedicated Employee Value Proposition (EVP) - celebrating all of the great attributes of Culture, Growth and Rewards that makes QTS unique as a company. Feedback and the desire to continue to grow & improve has made us what we are today. We truly are ‘Powered by People’!
Over the last quarter, the QTS Executive Team and RTO Task Force have been carefully monitoring the situation around COVID-19. While we appreciate many industries and companies have been negatively impacted by this global pandemic, we are blessed to be standing strong in 2020. Here are a few of the examples of ways we have supported our employees and staff during this period: • Mission critical employee care packages and appreciation spotlights • Seamless transition to remote work for non-mission critical employees, supported by our new ERP platform and Slack technology • State-of-the-art Health & Safety Protocols implemented, including Turing temperature scanners • Virtual client tours using our Service Delivery Platform (SDP) • Increased communication and resources to support health & family needs • Resources provided to employees to help with the economic impact of COVID • Ongoing planning to Return to Office operations when it is safe to do so
This month we announced our new wellness program, CHOOSE WELLness! We are so excited to offer opportunities to encourage overall wellness for QTSers and their families! Our program has many creative components including quarterly challenges covering physical and mental health, healthy selfies of QTSers making healthy choices, Good Eats! to shared our favorite healthy recipes and of course a health risk assessment. This quarter we are focusing on tracking our steps with our Step It Up challenge. Our team's are getting competitive with our Overland Park office challenging our friends in Ashburn. Chicago has also challenged Santa Clara . Our latest challenge is from our Richmond team challenging their friends in Suwanee. While the results are still early, our Chicago team is leading the company followed closely by the Richmond and our Santa Clara teams. Currently, our Chicago site is averaging 60,000 steps!!
