We’re making extended market hours available to everyone on Robinhood, for free. That's an extra 30 minutes before the regular market hours begin, and two hours after the regular market hours end.
We’re open sourcing Faust, a Python distributed stream processing library that processes large amounts of data in real-time, and makes it easier to design and deploy traditionally complex streaming architectures. Faust has been essential in supporting our rapid growth, and the complex systems of a financial company, and we’re already using it to build scalable, reliable distributed systems faster than ever before. We’re excited to share this technology with the open source community.

Last month, we hosted two events at our HQ, bringing together people in finance and technology. We partnered with SF’s Women in FinTech group to host a discussion on the opportunities and challenges in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, led by women who are spearheading important efforts in the space. The panel featured Robinhood's Assistant General Counsel, Adele Faure, who focuses on the legal and regulatory aspects of Robinhood Crypto. We also hosted a networking mixer to celebrate Pride Month with friends and family. The event was organized by our own LGBTQIA+ employee resource group, Rainbowhood. We're thrilled to see so many individuals come together to inspire each other, collaborate to make the financial tech industry a more inclusive place to work and thrive, and support Robinhood's mission to democratize the American financial system.
