I came to Roku as a fan of film and TV, and Roku’s magically simple interface. I wanted to contribute to the engineering behind the magic. Inside each streaming box, remote control, TV and speaker is a world of engineering complexity. I work in our Austin office as a software engineer on television-related features of the Roku OS. This means tweaking code to ensure a new TV works great with the apps on our platform – from the display, to speakers and audio amps, to Wi-Fi. I also work with our QA teams to spot problems like video and audio glitches or actions that aren’t as zippy as we’d like. Getting to the bottom of issues early helps us ensure that customers have a smooth experience. Christina, Software Engineer
