We are thrilled to announce that we have received a Platinum Medal in the EcoVadis sustainability ranking, placing us among the top 1% of over 130,000 companies evaluated globally in the past year! Achieving a score of 86 out of 100 reflects a 36% improvement from Silver to Platinum, with notable strengths in Environment and Labor & Human Rights (90 points each). This recognition highlights our commitment to transparent sustainability practices since 2013 and our progress in implementing our ESG strategy. As Nicole Kurek, Member of the Executive Board responsible for People & Culture at SICK stated, “For our customers worldwide, the EcoVadis rating is an important factor in trusting the sustainability management of our company and automation solutions and using them to achieve their own sustainability goals.” Together, let’s pave the way for a more sustainable future!
The SICK$10K Challenge is kicking off its sixth season and if you are associated with a college or university please take a look! We flip the script on the typical interaction between industry and academia: instead of "We have this problem; help us find a solution," we say "We have this solution, go solve a problem." This contest is a great way to get your hands on a proven LiDAR product from an industry leader and applying it in a hands-on, fully immersive way!
Earlier this month, SICK employees from our Boston, Houston, and Minneapolis offices donated their time and talent to pack backpacks for local schools. Community engagement is an important part of SICK's culture and employees are allotted 8 hours for a Community Day every year to participate in a community event! We love to see how our employees embrace this through company sponsored activities and events of their own choosing!
Every year, SICK provides sensors to college students to develop new innovations pairing SICK's passion for cutting edge technology and making the world a better place. The results are in for the SICK 10K challenge winners!
