This month in our "Mae-A-Difference" spotlight, we shine a light on a group of team members in our Sterling, Virginia office who raised money and donations to help families in need. Since 2014, Tina Vogel, has led an effort along with Kristen Bobik and Angelica Puhk to organize team members to support a local Fairfax County Social Services program. The Angel Tree program matches volunteers with children and families in need during the holiday season. Tina and team raised $1,000 and purchased gifts and gift cards for seven families. "While Sallie Mae is one of the smaller companies in the area that participates in Angel Tree, we are also one of the most generous," said Tina. "Angel Tree says they are even more grateful for Sallie Mae's participation the past two years because some of the larger companies have not been able to contribute. I'm very proud and humbled by the generosity of our Sterling team members." Thank you, Tina, Kristen, and Angelica, and our Sterling team members for your hard work and contributions to the local community.
