Studio By Sally, our new DIY teaching salon and retail concept, opened its doors in our backyard of Denton, TX this week! Inspired by consumer insights, this education-first concept aims to engage, educate and empower consumers to participate in hands-on education and shopping with licensed stylists. Interactive services include assistance with choosing the right product, how to apply all-over color, lightening and root touch-ups, to styling and more, all under one roof. This is the first of five additional locations to roll out by the end of the year, so stay tuned to see where Studio By Sally is headed next!

SBH joins with everyone across the U.S. and Canada in celebrating the significance of Black History Month! The origins of Black History Month dates back to 1926. This month is dedicated to honoring the gifts, voices, legacy and resilience of Black people. Beginning with President Gerald Ford in 1976, Black History Month has been celebrated the whole month of February, with a designated theme each year. The Black History Month 2023 theme, Black Resistance, explores how Black people have resisted historic and ongoing struggles in all forms. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating Black History.
Today, SBH wants to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. His influential “I have a dream” speech was an impassioned call to end discrimination and outlined his vision for a world where people are judged on the content of their character. The messages of empowerment and inclusion he shared more than 50 years ago are still relevant today.
