We are working with innovative companies like Kore Infrastructure to help achieve carbon neutrality. Together, we’ve successfully begun testing and demonstrating its carbon-negative waste-to-energy technology at our Los Angeles facility.
“Solar panels, windmills and electric vehicles might be the most visible signs of our changing energy landscape, but clean fuels such as hydrogen and renewable natural gas also will play a significant role in transforming our nation’s energy system.” -Scott Drury, CEO
We’re excited to work on an innovative hydrogen storage project with GKN Hydrogen and National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The project will demonstrate how to balance supply and demand by storing hydrogen for future energy needs, while reaching carbon neutrality and accelerating clean fuel initiatives.
Supplying renewable natural gas (RNG) to all 32 of our fueling stations will continue to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This program has reduced emissions equivalent to eliminating nearly 31 million gallons of gasoline from being burned since 2019.
Today, SoCalGas VP of Clean Energy Innovations Neil Navin addressed the Reuters Global Energy Transition conference. The conversation centered on our Angeles Link proposal & how hydrogen could help decarbonize the projects of tomorrow.
