We're proud to share the story of a groundbreaking facility that is setting a new standard for sustainable waste-to-energy! This plant is a model for sustainable urban waste management, processing over 220,000 metric tons of waste annually and generates enough electricity to power 10,000 households. The remarkable success of the New Taipei City Xindian Refuse Incineration Plant is a testament to strong collaboration. Since partnering with Onyx Taho Environmental Services and adopting Solvay's SOLVAir® sodium-bicarbonate-based solution for flue gas treatment in 2019, the facility has achieved significant results: 🏭 80% Reduction in residues generated compared to traditional methods (hydrated lime). 🏭50% Reduction in reagent consumption, maximizing efficiency. 🏭Significant Air Quality Improvement: Acidic gas emissions like SO2 and HCl are controlled to levels well below official standards. 🏭26% Increase in Power Generation Capacity.
