As we look to continuously improve and elevate our associates, a group of our people leaders from Jacksonville and Commerce participated in a four day leadership development program. This session offered them opportunities to workshop on active listening, being present, setting direction and coaching their teams.
Our Community Impact Time Off program provides our associates an opportunity to take a paid day off from work to volunteer in the community at organizations that are near and dear to their hearts. Recently, Commerce, GA Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) Master Technician Joshua Puntervold took advantage of this program to give back to @The Ark Family Preservation Center, an organization dedicated to helping reunify families that have been broken due to drugs, abuse, neglect, etc. Joshua supported them by pressure washing, cleaning and painting, as they prepared for the dedication of their new garden. Said Joshua, "When speaking with the organization's founder, she let me know that the work they do would not be possible if it were not for the people who give their time as volunteers and the donations they receive from the community. I think it is great that JM Family Enterprises, Inc. and SET offers a program for associates to use a work day for the opportunity to give our time to organizations like this, that otherwise would not be able to function without us." Thank you, Joshua, for embodying our spirit of giving back and strengthening your community. π«Άπ
A group of our Jacksonville associates and their families recently spent a Saturday volunteering at Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, Inc. to help with garden and trail maintenance. Our team shoveled, hauled and laid mulch to build up the trails for visitors to enjoy. The Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens is a 120-acre property dedicated to cultivating understanding and wonder by engaging the community through the natural beauty of Northeast Florida. The gardens and trails provide a place where visitors can find peace and connect with nature.
Associate Development Manager Larry Motes spends his days supporting our associates with professional growth. More than 130 Commerce, GA associates recently participated in Larry's 12th Interviewing Skills class to help enhance their career skills. Initiatives such as these help reinforce our company belief that our associates are our most important asset. Investing in our team's growth not only fuels their personal development but also propels our collective success.
Our Marketing Department had the incredible opportunity to tour the Youth Automotive Training Center, founded in 1984 by Mr. Moran. Witnessing the impact of hands-on training and education in the automotive industry was truly inspiring. π οΈπ§
With the new school year just around the corner, our associates in Jacksonville worked together to #StuffTheBusJax as a part of the United Way of Northeast Florida's campaign. Over the past few weeks, our team donated, sorted and packed 150 backpacks for high school students, and also provided essential supplies for teachers and staff. We're honored to have played a small role in the community's efforts to prepare for a successful school year!
Nothing compares to summer strolls around our newly renovated headquarters in Deerfield Beach, FL.
