October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. At TCC, we are proud to partner with More Than a Phone to provide survivors of domestic violence with free smartphones and data. These phones are a safe line that help those in need stay connected to the world around them so they can build a strong foundation.
This past month, we celebrated our new and remodeled stores with a $500 donation to a nonprofit chosen by each local team. In September, we donated to Angels’ Place Inc (chosen by the Metairie, LA, team) and IDEALS Foundation Inc (chosen by the Suwanee, GA team).
Our 12th annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway is in the books. Thanks for another great event! Our stores across the country gave away thousands of free backpacks to local students. Plus, we surprised a handful of randomly selected students with $100 to purchase school supplies and a $1,000 Amazon wish list buyout for their school.
On Women’s Equality Day, TCC is shining a spotlight on our Circle of Influence employee resource group. This network for women celebrates, encourages, and supports the women in our organization.
TCC is proud to announce that we have received the Culture of Good Community Impact GOAT (Goodest of All Time) award! We have been recognized for our remarkable contributions to local communities - from millions of free backpacks donated to students, millions of dollars in employee-sponsored community grants, thousands of hours logged volunteering, and much more.

We are pleased to share that CEO Scott Moorehead has been named to Indiana Journal’s Indiana 250. This prestigious list recognizes the 250 most influential business leaders in Indiana. These leaders are making a difference and driving change locally, regionally, and across the state. Congrats, Scott!

Our employee resource group, The BARR (Black Alliance at Round Room), held their inaugural Juneteenth Celebration on June 19th. Juneteenth, officially Juneteenth National Independence Day is also known as Jubilee Day, Emancipation Day, Freedom Day, and Black Independence Day. To celebrate, we held in-person and virtual events honoring the culture and freedom associated with Juneteenth, supporting black owned businesses, food trucks, and other vendors, in addition to sharing educational information pertaining to the holiday.
