Kalia Aparicio, Director of Provider Services for Specialty Services, celebrated the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month by speaking in the “Better Together” Panel during the 2023 National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives’ (NALHE) Summit in Seattle to discuss the power of collaboration in addressing health disparities and driving DEI in healthcare transformation. The panel aimed to inspire and educate participants on how professional associations can leverage mentorships, scholarships, and pipeline programs to effectively nurture diverse talent and empower future leaders. Kalia who is a member of the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE), the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE), was selected by NAHSE’s CEO, Dr. Lisa Mallory, to represent the NAHSE. She also was a part of NALHE’s 2021 Inaugural La Mesa Emerging Leaders Program, which provides a safe platform to convene and connect diverse leaders from across the country to share their experiences and knowledge—to give back, guide and support those who have the interest and potential to advance to executive suite positions.
