One year ago today, two of our TeamHealth colleagues tragically lost a family member during the Parkland, Florida, school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. This grave tragedy personally affected our TeamHealth family as we have grieved the loss of Alyssa Alhadeff, 14, the daughter of Ilan Alhadeff, MD, Vice President, Hospitalist Services, and Alexander ("Alex") Schachter, 14, the cousin of Debbie Rosenberg, Senior Vice President, Hospitalist Services. Today, we honor the memories of Alyssa and Alex, as well as the other 15 students and staff members who lost their lives in this senseless act. Our hearts and prayers remain with Ilan, Debbie and their families as we continue to mourn the loss of Alyssa and Alex.
