Let's all show our support for suicide prevention and help #SpeakUpSaveLives18. September is Suicide Prevention Month, and this Friday Sept 28 people across the country are encouraged to wear purple and/or a "Speak Up Save Lives" pin and post an encouraging picture/story on social media to show support for this important cause. TeamHealth's Dr. Kevin Klauer, CMO, Hospital-Based Services, has been a tremendous advocate for developing resources to help TeamHealth's clinical community get support for dealing with burnout and suicide prevention. Here's his message for #SpeakUpSaveLives18 "It’s important to note that stress, burnout and even mental illness are not signs of weakness, but are signs of the complexities of our lives. Ignoring the early signs can lead to something far more devastating. Suicide prevention month is also about recognizing the importance of day to day wellness so none of us ever reaches the point where death looks somehow more appealing than life. Please take the time to care for your own mental health and support those around you.”
As a part of TeamHealth’s commitment to physical and mental well-being, we invest in programs to enhance available resources through LiveWell WorkLife services. If you are having suicidal thoughts, or know someone who is, please take a few minutes to read our new blog. #SpeakUpSaveLives18 http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQkp1
