This crisis of health literacy has never been more pronounced or important than during the last several years of the COVID-19 pandemic. As healthcare professionals, we are committed to advancing care standards. This includes promoting health literacy. When gyms closed in 2020, Dare Evans, MSN, CEN, ENP-C, FNP-C, Lead APC, Emergency Medicine, searched for a way to continue her fitness journey. She connected with neighbors and friends for group fitness classes, and what began as weekly exercise meet-ups turned into a passion.
