We are proud of our creative CRNAs who made PPE during the pandemic to address shortages in their hospital. They realized the sterile blue wrap from surgical instruments never came in contact with a patient and was normally discarded. Therefore, it was the perfect material to repurpose for masks to be worn in other locations in the hospital to save the manufactured PPE for surgery. Thank you to our resourceful #CRNAs for thinking outside the box and showing their dedication to patient care in any situation. #CRNAWeek

Nicole found an out-of-the-box solution for repurposing surgical instrument wrapping to create warm, water-resistant sleeping bags for the homeless population in Tampa.
