Let the Games begin! We’re excited for Toyota’s first-ever global corporate initiative, “Start Your Impossible,” to fully take shape when the Winter Olympic Games begin in PyeongChang, South Korea next week. What makes Toyota a ‘Glassdoor 2018 Best Place to Work’? Respect for people and continuous improvement, the two pillars of The Toyota Way. The Toyota Way is “how we approach everything we do and that includes making our culture one where team members feel valued and are encouraged to challenge what’s possible. As a leader, providing that type of support — where people aren’t afraid to fail — I think that breeds confidence. It fosters innovation and when team members believe they can do epic things, they usually do.” - Terri Von Lehmden, GM of Talent Acquisition at Toyota.
If there's anyone who knows what it's like to go for what they want it's Tina. After facing challenges in her life, she decided to start over and go back to school as a non-traditional student. Tina started her journey at Toyota as an intern as part our Rainbow Push partnership, and her dedication and drive earned her a full-time offer as a college programs recruiter. Tina fully embodies our commitment to challenge what’s possible every day. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ7QU

Thanks to our team members, we’ve been recognized as a Best Place to Work (the only automotive company to make the list) on Glassdoor's 2018 Employees' Choice awards! Congrats to our CEO, Jim Lentz, on being named a finalist of D Magazine's 2017 CEO of the Year! As one of the first automotive companies to offer comprehensive domestic partnership benefits back in 2002, we’ve been at the forefront of LGBTQ equality in the workplace. We’re proud to be a vehicle for change within Toyota and in our communities and are honored to have earned a perfect score on HRC’s Corporate Equality Index on LGBTQ equality & inclusion for the 11th consecutive year!
Last week was the grand opening of our new $80 million, 235,000 sq. foot state-of-the-art and environmentally-conscious Production Engineering and Manufacturing Center (PEMC) in Georgetown, Kentucky! As the manufacturing nucleus for Toyota’s North American plants, PEMC is a statement to our commitment to invest in the future of American manufacturing to create the next generation of manufacturing technology.
