Kelsey Nelson credits our benefits and culture for having a good work-life balance as a parent with a full-time job. In addition to her role as a senior recruiter, Kelsey and her husband Brad are extremely involved in their children’s school events – regularly chaperoning class parties, book fairs and field trips. When Kelsey took time off work due to a high-risk pregnancy, she was granted sick leave and received overwhelming support from her colleagues. “It still warms my heart six years later!,” she said. She also took time off to care for her kids when they had surgeries without using her standard vacation time. While expecting their second child, Kelsey and Brad considered a different approach to childcare and explored an au pair program for which Kelsey received a discount as a U.S. Bank employee. “The program enriched our lives in ways we couldn’t even imagine,” Kelsey said.
