At UKG, we firmly believe in doing the right thing for our employees, our customers and our communities. We recently announced a multimillion-dollar pay equity initiative called Close the Gap where we will: contribute 18 cents for every employee paid each year via a UKG payroll solution toward the fight for pay equity and partner with 4 nonprofits that are focused on bringing greater access to education, opportunity, and pay equity to women of color, and other underrepresented groups. At UKG, we encourage our employees to bring their whole selves to work. For Lisa, a System Consultant in Michigan, that meant opening up to UKG about her experience with ADHD. “On the outside, I may be moving down the road at the same speed as everyone else, but on the inside, I’m putting in hard work,” says Lisa. “Traditionally, there has been a stigma attached to ADHD and other neurological disorders that prevents the kind of support needed to allow for early diagnosis and treatment,” she says. “This stigma leads to a lack of awareness that results in systems created for neurotypical brains, and leaves others like me to struggle, unaware that there is help. With education and awareness, we can help ourselves, our families, and our coworkers to achieve maximum potential with maximum comfort.”
For U Krewer, Rocie, a Sr. IT Project Manager, National Hispanic Heritage Month gives her the opportunity to celebrate her home country of Venezuela. “This is a month to be happy, dance like nobody is looking, try delicious food, learn about our artists, and read our literature,” she says. Rocie was new to the U.S. when she applied for a job at UKG. “UKG saw my potential even before I was confident enough to see it myself,” she says. “Everybody has a voice and feels heard at UKG.” Want to join a company that sees your potential?
