“AAPI Heritage Month is a time for me to reflect on my experiences and my family's journey to America as refugees, as well as a time to learn about the culture and history of other AAPI groups. My ethnicity is Iu Mien. Most people have never heard of it and are unaware of our place within U.S. history, so I feel compelled to share my culture with others. It is important to acknowledge how vast the Asian Pacific diaspora is – each with its own language, food, and customs. There is so much diversity within the AAPI community, and that is what makes America beautiful.” – Lai Saechao, Maxar AAPI Employee Resource Group Co-lead Learn more about how we support and celebrate an increasingly diverse workforce.
