Security Officer Nate Weaver has been recognized as Officer of the Month (OOM) twice during his 3-year tenure. The first OOM recognition was in 2024, following his effective management of a tense situation after the termination of an employee. Most recently, he was awarded OOM in April 2025 after an employee at his site submitted an appreciation letter. Nate works at a large manufacturing site, where most of his day is spent on roving patrols. It speaks volumes that he continues to make such a significant impact at his site, as evident in the letter. Read the appreciation letter below!

Christmas is almost here—a magical time of year. It also marks a milestone for Matt Worley, General Manager of our Dallas branch. After 20 years in the making, his first children’s book about the spirit of Christmas, “The Red Mitten,” was recently published. “The Red Mitten” is a story about a young boy who loses his cherished red mitten, which Santa Claus gave to him the previous year. As the mitten embarks on a journey to return home, it encounters various characters and experiences that highlight the power of kindness and the joy of the holiday season. Congratulations to Matt Worley on reaching this milestone! "The Red Mitten" is available at bookstores and most major online book retailers.

Military and law enforcement have used challenge or command coins as a symbol to promote pride, build cohesion and acknowledge exemplary service throughout their long history. The coins are awarded in many ways, commonly when a leader shakes hands with a deserving soldier or officer. Walden Security builds upon this proud tradition by awarding our own challenge coins. We have three different ones, in fact. Used to honor our employee achievements and milestones, our Walden Security-specific challenge coins are awarded for: (1) SPOT Awards (2) Officer of the Year Awards, Tenure Milestones, or other acts of bravery worthy of commendation (3) Court Security Officers score 100% on their Phase II exam
