Founded in 1915, Riverside Health has evolved from a small hospital in Newport News, Virginia into a nonprofit healthcare organization. The health system and each major facility in the organization are governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees of community leaders.
Riverside employs over 9,000 people in over 100 locations in the Greater Peninsula-Williamsburg region, Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck and the Eastern Shore communities of eastern Virginia.
