I heard that job training is compatible to other big IT company in bay area. It shouldn't be a big problem.

Jon training is good depending on who trains you. if he/she is all over the place or not well detailed when explaining things step by step. expect to be a little lost.

They go through the training so quickly, sometimes it's hard to keep up with everything that you need to know.

Job training is a crucial aspect to performing well in any occupation. While it may take some time, leadership ensures that every associate is trained in safe working practices. We have a little meeting before the shift begins every day. It is called standup, we review standard work and safety policies, then we stretch our muscles to prevent strain.
There are dozens of positions at Amazon. If you are willing to learn and catch on quick- you are quickly placed in a critical role; which is vital to the facility. I take pride in knowing that my superiors trust my decisions. I have worked in many places and industries- Amazon is arguably the best, closely followed by Starbucks. These companies care about their employees and go the extra mile to ensure everyone is comfortable in their roles.

It's all the on the job. If you're qualified, why do they need to train you? this ain't communism and your employer ain't your parent.

More on-boarding training before new employees are thrown in the fire. The first couple of weeks can be very confusing on where to find the information you need that pertains to your job.

Job training is lazy and undisciplined. The orientation is mostly computerized for home consumption or just slapped together on-site. Quality varies by location, but management is often not very professional and tends to be rather young. If you stay with Amazon for a year, they might give you training in AWS (Amazon Web Services), but I don't know the details.
