WORK FROM HOME FLEXIBLE
We are often asked what the future of business looks like in the Real Estate services industry and if we think the new concept of working from home or working from anywhere will be the new norm. Our answer is invariably; if you think enabling your teams to work from anywhere and trusting them to do the right thing each day is something new, then you don't understand your people and frankly, you didn't see that working from anywhere isn't new and IS the future of business.
Cardinal Group Companies has employed teammates across the country in many roles with the understanding that a person's life shouldn't be anchored by a corporate HQ location or individual market. We bring on the most passionate and determined people and do something relatively unheard of in modern business, We let leaders lead.
These programs encourage a healthy remote working environment.
When many organizational leaders chose to highlight their efforts during the pandemic, we chose to highlight the work of every single hero we have on-site. As essential workers, our maintenance and leasing teams found themselves on the front lines. Each and every Cardinal team member raised their hand and said "I do what I do for others, covid be damned."
The Cardinal Group Heroes program was an opportunity for all of us at Cardinal to recognize people we work with as being everday heroes during the pandemic. We chose to lift each other up rather than focus on our own corporate vanity. This is what it means to be a part of the Cardinal team.
At the onset of the pandemic, many companies in our space chose to tighten the belt in anticipation of the unknown. Like many other business phrases, tightening the belt is code for layoffs. At Cardinal, our senior leadership fought for the jobs of every individual, all 1800 of us, and we're proud to say that Cardinal Group Companies didn't furlough or lay off one person through the pandemic. In fact - we did the right thing and offered a blanket 2 weeks of paid leave to anyone who had to quarantine. If we can't take care of eachother, how can we take care of our clients and our residents?
