You automatically start with about 8 hours of sick time. Every day you work you build it up. However, management will tell employees to call out sick if they have any “signs or symptoms” or if you just don’t feel well, but when you do call out management gets upset and may have what’s called an “honest conversation” with you which is similar to coaching or being written up. The company has what’s called SSR to protect viruses from being spread, but the field leader has told us not to call SSR when we are sick.

Chipotle was really good with this given the outbreaks. They really don't want you to come in when your'e sick and you just have to let them know beforehand.

Sick days are hard to come by as they don't always staff enough people to be fully functional if someone calls in.
