I have the advantage of having health insurance through the policy of an international expatriated spouse. It is a fully comprehensive policy with basically no cost for us. It really helps to get peace of mind and remove a significant burden from the life out of one's home country.

High deductible health care plan is a disservice to employees. Its better than nothing, but not by much.

Cummins offers HSA (Health Saving Account) - this is what most large companies are going toward now days. It is a good plan if you never or rarely get sick. If you are someone like me who suffers from a chronic illness, you will find that the health coverage leaves more to be desired. BUT - this is not just CMI - this is what most large companies have or are going toward. Is what it is these days.
