It is horredous, in 8 years the insurance never paid for anything because I never reached the very high deductible, even though I was paying a high insurance premium.

They chose to skip a specific coverage needed when someone is working in a highly stressful environment.

Purchased insurance from another company. Dish health insurance isn't competitive. High deductible with higher than average monthly premiums. Does not cover some existing mental health conditions or medications for psychiatric disorders.

Extremely high deductible $5,000 a year is a lot for someone that only starts off at 24 - 25000

The deductible is so high the only thing you really have coverage from is catastrophic illness or accident. Even if you do manage to hit the deductible, you're still only covered at 80%, and then, only if you stay in network. HSA is great, but it really requires company contributions to work with the high deductible.
