He franchise bonus is a joke unless you can sell your respective products like I did. Things that company offices get commission for, franchises do not.

Beginning in the second year, tax preparers are compensated on their proficiency, the complexity of the returns, and the number of completed returns.

You earn a base rate and commission, so the more returns you do, the bigger your bonus. However, your bonus is not paid until after tax season ends, in May.

Each return you do, you can get some type of bonus. If you finish a lot of returns, you can get more bonus.

Performance bonus plans for Field Leaders (not tax office associates) are competitive to other Retail Management bonus programs, but metrics the incentives are tied to can vary greatly from year. Biggest frustrating aspect of the performance bonus plan is that supervisors can decide to pay out less than what is actually achieved - i.e. they rate employee's performance and that determines how much of a payout is actually made.

The Bonus itself is Fair, but they insist on paying it all in one check... Some flexibility to be able to receive it in 6-8 equal monthly payments for the remainder of the calendar year [after April 15th] would be extremely beneficial to many of their older, seasoned employees who are also receiving Social Security payments.
