Retirement Plan

No pension plan if hired 2009 and after. They do provide 401K and CAP which they add to based upon years of service. A lot of old timers or people that have been with the company a long time are VERY unhappy since LM stopped the pension program and froze existing pensions. Therefore, LM has experienced a lot of retirement in the last 12 months, exactly what they wanted to have happen

It's a 401k plan since the pension was frozen. I wouldn't call it much of a retirement plan but it is at least something.

No benefits as a contractor

Lockheed provides a fair retirement package, not utilizing this opportunity would be a serious mistake by a new employee.

Wonderful retirement plan that can be accessed through a personal online portal day or night for easy management.

Above average for typical defense contractor.
