It was based on what you made and not a flat 10% like most companies. At least it was a discount.

All employees of Menards get an employee discount of 10% off. This discount is in the form of a payroll deduction. In other words no money is exchanged but rather taken out of your next paycheck. You can only get 10% off the amount of 70% of what your last paycheck was. So another words, you could not build a house for 10% off.

you have to pay for whatever you are buying out of your paycheck to get the discount.

The employee discount from Menards is 10%, but you can only use it from your pay check. Therefore you cannot use your credit card or debit card for purchases and purchases will come straight out of your pay check.

It is only 10% and that 10% is coming out of your paycheck; so really its only 2% because the taxes in fort wayne is at 8%.

In order to gt employee discount you have to use a credit against your paycheck, meaning you pay with your employee badge and the transaction is deducted from your pending paycheck.

The discount is only 10 percent for employees, AND they have to deduct it off of their paycheck, which I'm not sure is even legal.
