It used to be that everything as covered, now there is a co-pay and a hard to use system for keeping track of how much you are eligible to reimburse etc.

The HSA PPO system is reasonably good. I can contribute pre-tax, and the money rolls over. Health insurance in Microsoft used to be completely free. Now, we have a high deductible and co-pay. However, Microsoft contributes to our annual deductible significantly. The fact that the money stays in my account even if I leave Microsoft is good.

Expensive, bureaucratic - you will spend ALL your time filling out forms.

Best thing: choice of coverage. Worst thing: time required to manage the plan (what is paid for, what comes from HSA, what services are covered). To have a healthcare concierge might help.

Microsoft contributed to an HSA on the employees behalf if they opted in for the high deductible plan.

Best thing: Wide network of doctors
Worst thing: when paying co-pay at doctors clinic it still shows up on your online portal as unpaid
