Considering that this is an insurance company, i find that overall the insurance benefits offered to their employees is not that great. Other companies provide better insurance programs for employees. Many colleagues (including myself) who had the option to get insurance from their spouse felt their spouse's plan was better. So something to closely check if you are planning to join the company.

The best thing about working for Optum is the positive relationships that have been built with colleagues and the provider network.

Very competitive with all but the richest union plans. A variety of options are available that should accommodate the needs of most individuals and families. On-site fitness center and wellness clinics at some offices.
