Job Training

Publix offers a great benefit plan that has helped myself. However, the excessive plan changes made annually have been a consistent hindurance.

Mostly safety training required by law, on the job training only offered as a promotion to a higher wage job

The training was basically nonexistent, i was given a cashier to train me who didn't want to do her job and practically ran out of the store when her shift ended, first red flag. I was only helped for one day by the way. The following day I was ignored every time I asked for help. The training sucked.

I don't have anything bad to say about that because in my opinion it was exellent. So i don't have any bad thing to say about that

I got trained at Publix by another employee on my first day. It was brief and lousy. I apply those same tasks I was trained to my everyday work and managers get onto me for doing it the wrong way. No one knows what they’re doing or what to do. I get told multiple different ways to do my job and each and every way is wrong according to at least one manager in the store.

We always learn more information to help us do our jobs better from how to save plastic to how to help clean up spills... awesome work and I hope to continue learning more in the future while continuing my transcription career...

What they say they do and reality are completely different experiences - new recruits get thrown in the deep end

Job training is 1-2weeks. But real training comes with time, practice and experience and that is about 3 months
