Sick time off is on a honor based system. Mostly, people are taking time off to tend their sick family members, wives, and kids etc

They used to have a policy of "if you're sick, take time"
Now they accrue sick hours at the same rate as your vacation time. And unlike vacation, I don't have 250 hours built up just in case.

Used to be on an honorary basis but now it is accrued just like vacation days although they do accept the honorary based sick days too

sick days are flexible, you need to discuss with your boss.

Sick days used to be by the honor system, with doctor's certificate required for 2 days or more. I believe that is going to change. With the amount of work and pressure, I don't think I would call this much of a benefit.

brutal. slackers take tons of these days off with no ramifications if their work falls behind.
I never took a sick day and I was treated like an outcast for it.
