The health insurance used to be a major attraction working for the company. it is now as good as or slightly less than what you could get at other companies in this sector.

Obamacare has changed the health insurance. Prior to Obamacare, it was really good. Now it is not nearly as good. It costs more, and we get less benefits. Thanks Obama!

The worst thing about the health insurance is the ever increasing cost of coverage.

NOTE: This rating is based on the insurance offered in 2013 and below.
Full, 100% coverage or 10/90 coverage (United HealthCare) at a reasonable pre-tax price; very feature friendly.

They offer both HSA and "Cadillac" plans, though in recent years employees have to pay a larger slice of the cost for the full coverage plans. The company covers same-sex domestic partners in states where gay marriage is not recognized. The full coverage health care plans include transgender medical coverage.

$3.73 is offered as an offset which isn't nearly enough to purchase insurance alone. Most retired or reservist use their military medical to offset the Raytheon benefits.

Company moving away from traditional health care plans in favor of high deductable/HSA accounts. The lone traditional copay plan costs double what it did two years ago, but this is more a result of the ACA than anything else.
