This could be more cost-effective.

It should be embarrassing for a health insurance company to offer its employees such truly terrible benefits. Nearly everyone I know at Cigna who is married is on their spouse's plan. Not only is the insurance insanely expensive, the deductibles very high, and the copays a large percentage (not a flat dollar amount), the "incentive" money offered for "wellness" activities is a joke. It takes time and money to go have labwork to prove to the company your cholesterol is good enough to warrant a $75 incentive reward to your paycheck.

Ok, high deductible plan. Fair plan but could be better

The deductible is too high. It is not realistic to expect someone to pay $1600 before insurance kicks in.

The benefits are great, just expensive.

High deductibles, low copays, limited provider network if you are outside core market area. Much better medical coverage offered to employees by competitors.

The health insurance is very expensive and your out of pocket costs are high. You would think working for a health and dental insurance company that the benefits would be better, but the health insurance is expensive, high deductible, high out of pocket costs.
