Health benefits start day 1! Option to earn health and wellness points that can lower your health insurance premium for the next year. Having a young so with Type 1 diabetes, this type of health insurance plan was a HUGE selling point for me in wanting to join the USAA family; and being a member myself.

They've recently changed health insurance in 2016 so it's not as great as it used to be. But it could be much worse.

The best thing for me about the health insurance was the ability to go to the on campus clinic when I had a rapidly worsening health problem. They found my insurance information as an employee without needing any help from me, and were able to get me taken care of and back on the floor to work in less than an hour. It was a seamless process that required very little from me, and ensured I was healthy.

Humana is the provider used for employees for health and I had no problems with them. Everyone accepts them and they pay out great. I have Blue Cross with my new job and they don't compare so far to Humana.

I have an HSA account. I've literally not spent one dime on my own medical bills in the past 3 years

So so - much worse than 2015. Went from generous Humana plan to crap Aetna one.
