Mission WHAT WE STAND FOR No matter how many years we’re in business or how many members we serve, our core mission and the values that inspired it never change.
Our mission is to stand with our members and be there for them and their families by facilitating their financial security. It starts with offering a range of highly competitive products, exceptional service, and trusted advice. But to be the military community’s provider of choice also takes dedicated team members who share our core values of service, loyalty, honesty, and integrity.
We go above and beyond the call of duty for our members. Every USAA employee receives the same level of respect and care, from compensation to benefits, and the freedom to build a career that works for them.
If you stand for them, we’ll have your back.
Description WHO WE ARE We’re USAA, a financial services organization providing insurance, banking, financial products, and advice for our military community.
With more than 37,000 employees across seven domestic and three international offices, we have the technology, experience, and infrastructure needed to best serve our members and staff.
We’re always on the lookout for passionate, talented individuals who share our appreciation for the military and their families and the dedication to serve them.
If this sounds like you, we hope you’ll join us.
WHERE WE COME FROM Our story began in 1922 when a group of soldiers got together in San Antonio and agreed to insure each other’s vehicles. By the 1930s, our membership reached 30,000.
During World War II, we automatically renewed policies for members serving abroad. In 1969, we welcomed our 1 millionth member. By 2000, we were online and available to service members from all branches of the military.
We’ve continued to evolve and adapt to meet the ever-changing needs of the military community. Today, we’re honored to serve over 13 million members – those currently serving, veterans, and their families.
Our headquarters remain in San Antonio. Over the course of our more than 100-year history, we’ve expanded to seven other cities in the U.S. and three international locations to better serve our growing membership.
