Avoiding a commute is nice. The downside is that the job requires working weird hours--often third shift or early in the morning. That becomes really fatiguing after a while.

Good work-from-home job, but not something you can do in your PJs - video classes! And woe to you if your internet goes out, as "punishment" for not being in class is rather severe. I have two different services just to make sure I have a backup!

A company that makes working from home a possibility while still making a decent income.

I enjoy working from home for VIPKID. I am able to teach Chinese children while my own children are still sleeping soundly in their beds. This has allowed me the ability to work and still homeschool my children. The pay is great too! On top of the base pay they give many extra bonuses. So even though they don't guarantee any bookings and don't have any benefits like insurance they do take care of their teachers who do the work that is asked of them. VIPKID gives you all of the lessons so all you have to do is teach them and have your own props to enhance the lessons- like alphabet cards, dry erase board, puppets, etc. I highly recommend working for VIPKID! It has been a dream come true for this divorced mom with 3 kids.

The hours require you to work overnight or wake up in the middle of the night. Classes were only 30 mins so you could have to wake up for just one class if that's all you book.
