I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at 3M (Maplewood, MN) in Apr 2011
Interview
Phone teleconference with highlights of undergraduate research, on-site interview consisted of more in-depth research presentation, and 1:1's were mainly about listening to current 3M employees about their experience with the company- after the research presentation, I feel like they were mainly trying to sell me on the company rather than quizzing me about my team working style, etc.
