Interviewers want you to give them the answer they want and not necessarily a suitable answer. 1.HR disucussion of 30 min (The HR is really good :) ) 2. Manager disucssion for fitment (20min) 3. Python coding ability round by SSE 4. Project disucssion round (got rejected here) 5. Manager ACTUAL discussion round In project disussion, pick a project you are proud of and go into depths. then they will ask you about extending and enhancing certain aspects of it. The problem lies in the fact that the answer they are looking for may not actually suit your work ecosystem, so you'd have to reimangine this as a new and open ended hypothetical problem and proceed likewise. And I did'nt do that , being biased and limited by that project's actual ecosystem. Overall I felt the discussion lacked ACTUAL depth, and breadth. Never really explored a candidate's skillset, There were no general systemdesign or DSA rounds, No questions about Infra, Bottlenecks . I'd question their ability to judge a candidate based on such limitations. It was one of those interviews where you really have no takeaway from and completely wasted your time.
