The process was very fast and efficient. First a phone screen with a recruiter (casual, just to gauge interest and ask questions), and then an interview and teaching demo. This could be just this particular principal, but the interview process was very antagonistic and hostile. The principal appeared friendly at first, but seemed to be trying to "catch me" on something the entire time. Questions came a mile a minute, and if the principal did not agree with my answers, he made it clear. Not a pleasant interview experience.
Declined the offer due to information that came to light through research of that particular school (Amistad High School in New Haven). That principal had just been suspended a year prior due to faking suspension statistics. If you are interviewing for the New Haven locations, make sure to do your research, and consider whether you feel ok working for an organization with more scandals than can be counted in the past few years.
