1. The recruiter continually missed deadlines that she set for herself and was late to several of the conversations we had. I tried to be flexible, but this was definitely a pattern that persisted throughout the process.
2. I had to take off work for a 4-hour interview. They were impressed with me, but ultimately didn't offer me the position. Many of the interview questions involved role-playing scenarios. They would have me go through the scenario once, provide feedback, and have me do it again with feedback.
3. Both of the principals zoned-in on Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness questions. I'm a white male and part of me thought that they did this because of my privilege. I'm sure they ask this of every candidate, but when they thought that I didn't do well handling one of the questions, they definitely asked additional ones.
4. After several months of communication with the recruiter, they were basically going to offer me a lower-level operations position in which I would be traveling from school-to-school during COVID-19. This did not appear safe to me, so I declined.
