Adyen Project Manager interview questions

Several rounds. First round with one person, low level. Friendly chit-chat about how "great" the company is. The second round is similar to the first, with two people low level as well. The third round is a case you have to prepare, where the questions go so specific, that if you have no experience in the industry it is close to impossible to answer. That is where it really shows, that the inclusivity and different backgrounds nonsense they try to sell is not true. You need to be highly knowledgable on the sector and the company, otherwise you have no chance. The feedback provided after was also proof of that. Not recommended.

I applied for Product Manager (Risk) via referral directly to the hiring manager in May 2021. The hiring manager contacted me 1.5mo later for an interview after which I was moved to case study stage with the VP of Product, hiring manager and eng manager. I was sent the case on a Friday evening/ EOD for a Tuesday presentation with no regard for the rest of my engagements - unusual but not unheard of, so fine. It was a case study relating to an entirely different topic vs Risk, which is what my specialisation was in and hence the role I applied to. At the beginning of the case study interview (July) the VP of Product emphasised how important inclusion is to him etc. (it is mentioned as a prominent priority for me on my CV). During the presentation he remarked about how my approach was unique and covered angles that the 7+ other candidates had not picked up on. However they did ask questions about my data calculations. Overall, hard to tell whether I met expectations. After that, they completely vanished, despite 2-3 follow ups to the recruiter and hiring manager both. This was quite annoying considering this was a fairly senior full-time position. The recruiter called me 2+ months later saying they had chosen another candidate. Overall, I had a disappointing candidate experience and don't recommend the company as I saw dissonance between their actions and values.
