I interviewed for a Manufacturing Technician role at Agilent Technologies Singapore in February 2025. It was an in-person interview with a panel of two interviewers and lasted for about an hour.
The interview primarily focused on my experience, which felt unusual since I was a fresh graduate and they were already aware of that. The interviewers repeatedly asked similar questions about my experience, and at one point, one of them had a strange smile when I spoke about my skills and knowledge. They then rephrased a question, saying, "But you don’t have any experience or skills, so isn’t this irrelevant?"—which I found odd and somewhat dismissive.
At the end of the session, they informed me that I would receive an update within three weeks. True to their word, I received the update exactly three weeks later.
Overall, while the interview was structured, the focus on experience for a fresh graduate role and the interviewer's demeanour made the experience feel somewhat discouraging.
