I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Ally Financial (Detroit, MI) in Nov 2015
Interview
Had the typical networking session with recruiter, online application which led to a phone interview where itemized my resume and then talked some financial specifics on pretty basic metrics. Was a very pleasant experience. After that, had a super day where I was shuffled through 3 separate roles where they focused quite a bit on behavioral and general questions about "a time where you showed this or this". The interviewers were great listeners, actively asked follow ups that were not on script, and did their best to make the process as friendly and comfortable as possible!

Question 1
Was not given which 3 units I would be interviewing with beforehand, so when asked why risk and compliance, very honestly had no clue where to begin.
sent a video interview, had 2 attempts per question, told to submit as soon as possible but no hard deadline, took approximately 15 minutes to complete, waiting to hear back
It was a great experience. Even though I havent received a callback, I can surely say they are a well established firm. Not only was it a great experience but I also learned alot from it and how to do better in the future.
Great Process! They were very helpful in providing information to prepare for the interview, and the interview itself had a relaxed feel. Great team, and a very great conversation. I had a positive experience interviewing with Ally Financial.
